Introduction to TMS Fundamentals
TMS Fundamentals introduces important basics to working in the TMS. We cover terminology, what are courses, classes, course assignments and subscriptions. We familiarize you with the platform's navigation. And demonstrate searches, saving searches and creating defaults for your search page.
What are the tools I need to set up training?
We overview the tools needed to get labs and content into the hands of your users. This includes a brief description of courses, options for setting up users, and how a student redeems a training key. We also give a high level look at subscriptions and a look at tools in instructor led classes, including lab monitoring.
How do I use the advanced settings on a class?
After creating a basic class, you may be interested in some of the advanced options. Advanced settings include enabling automated notifications, dedicating a class, surveys, enabling self enrollment, materials and certificates.
How can I use the class links showing before class starts?
Once a class is created and before it has started, a number of links are available to prepare for class. We take the time to demonstrate all these features in this video: pre-class checklist, class history, enrollment training keys, sign in sheets, printing completion certificates, manage files, and sent notifications.
How can I use the class links showing after class starts?
After a class has started, additional links are available to manage class. We take the time to demonstrate all these features in this video: roster, roster icons, attendance chart, lab instances, survey results, and monitor labs.
How do I create enrollments?
After you have created a class and user accounts, you have several ways to create enrollments. This video covers ways to create enrollments without using training keys, such as, creating a single enrollment, multiple enrollments, adding enrollments through the roster, and adding enrollments from another class. We also discuss enrollment statuses, classroom assignment, double booking, cancellations and billing.
